Matsui RD600 and Minerva SAT5000

These models are almost identical and were made by Grundig. They are very similar to the Grundig GSR1 so please refer to the Grundig receiver FAQ

Main problems are caused by

1. The LM317 regulator for the LNB voltage supply is mounted on a metal heat sink without thermal compound. Release the spring clip and put a little thermal compound between the regulator and the heat sink. Otherwise the LM317 can overheat. First symptom is "Loss of horizontal polarised channels".

2. The three crystals are very unreliable. If you lose audio or picture, try replacing these first.
